Why - question

The question „why” may be considered in two different contexts.  The first one concerns the present and future, where this question may serve as an example:  why is this important for you? In such a form this question is relatively helpful.

If the question is directed into the past: why didn’t you do that? it requires the Coachee to explain himself and in some extreme cases may evoke a feeling of guilt.  We do not want to induce these States as they do not support the change and learning process that The client is currently going through.  That is why the Coach should avoid asking questions in this manner.
